AAL Living Lab

Linking technologies and social environment is the central aim of the AAL Research Unit at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. By using an innovative participatory Living Lab, the unit develops concepts, products and services in the areas of smart home, smart health and smart interaction to improve the quality of life of older adults.

The Living Lab will be illustrated by the project “Smart VitAALity – Carinthian Pilot Region for AAL and Smart Living Technologies”. A long-term trial testing (15 months with 230 users) of an integrated AAL system with focus on health and social inclusion was realized in this ongoing project.
