The overall goal was to provide an international business platform for our ecosystem. In addition, we wanted to offer the leading companies in the South-Austrian region the opportunity to present themselves to an international audience, thereby increasing the international visibility and strengths of the silicon alps region. Therefore, the idea #LetsCluster Conference was born, making something bigger than a few single events. For all us at Silicon Alps with this event, a wonderful journey began. The #LetsCluster took place from March 25th to 27th 2019, at the Messe Congress Graz. It was a public summit with a lot of Side Events, a HighTech Expo with the greats of the national and international micro- and nanoelectronic ecosystem and an outstanding B2B Matchmaking opportunity, compromised in an immersive three-day program. For everyone visiting #LetsCluster, it was really a great atmosphere and a true spirit of openness and looking forward.
Beneath the two big keynotes – Bruce Bateman (CTO LiteOn and Smart City Evangelist), as well as Angelika Sodian(Managing Director of NiO, UK) – the topics of the conference, focused on four streams Smart Health, Smart Manufacturing, Smart Mobility, and Smart Home/Smart Energy. During those days we are very happy to have: 1200 visits from 30 countries, 144 speakers in 43 sessions, 74 exhibitors as well as 160 “official” and vast more B2B matches.
As always when you arrange something for the very first time, we took a lot of learnings. We are glad for those and we have listened to your needs. We ask all the exhibitors and all participants for feedback which was a very good one. Beside this very positive feedback for the event, there was a major thing which we want to highlight. One of the common feedback from the participants and exhibitors was that the #LetsCluster has been that event for business opportunities. Overall, there have been a lot of talks among the participants during and after the event. Furthermore, the program gets very good feedback: for most of the visitors, the content was very interesting, deep dive and far beyond everyday marketing speeches.
Again: The very proud and happy Silicon Alps team thank you for making this wonderful journey possible.
