Intel Austria, emerged from Lantiq in 2015 and part of the worldwide Intel Corporation, has two research and development sites in Villach and Linz. Intel offers innovative technologies for all sectors of the connected world. Our products are used globally by major carriers and mobile phone manufacturers, incorporated within PCs, tablets and home networks. Our goal is to enable the most advanced technologies and set new standards for the world of tomorrow.
Villach has its focus on products for future network generations and digital home networks, specializing in innovative mixed signal architectures and radio frequency (RF) solutions for wideband & wireless communication and Internet chips, whereas Linz focuses on 5G and mobile communications and systems.
Intel Austria has become a competence center for RFICs and pioneered a paradigm shift in RFIC development with its “robust design process” achieved in cooperation with several universities. We have continued to strengthen Intel Austria’s core RF competence.
